Chef Ludo’s new 21-seat joint, Petit Trois is le petit charming. More in the LA Times. But here’s a taste:

Dinner service begins at 5:30 p.m. A few selections include an omelet that oozes Boursin cheese (Lefebvre’s favorite as a child). It’s the same creamy, spreadable Gournay cheese found at most supermarkets. Mussels marinieres are scented with vadouvan, a French curry spice that the chef mixes in-house. Steak frites come topped with an onion soup sauce, a nod to the classic soupe a l’oignon, which will most likely be on the menu when the weather cools. There’s also steak tartare and a confit chicken leg made with breadcrumbs from brioche dough….

After 10 p.m. food service is limited to one thing, and one thing only – the croque monsieur.

Delightful branding and a lot of work went into the look of alternative sports club Mixson Bath & Racquet Club in Charleston South Carolina. Inspired by this now that we have our own work “lawn bowling social” in a couple of weeks, this is kind of amazing.

Oh what we could do for some of Vancouver’s lawn bowling clubs. All we can say is, Dang! Designed by Stich Design Co.

The Gotham Club, San Francisco

Okay, the private club at AT&T Park - home of the Giants is pretty rad. Named for the 1883 version of the team, the private club features 3 unique venues to play at the ballpark.

The Bullpen, gives members who pay $2,500 for membership and $1250/annually, a look at batting practice right from the warning track. To join you need to be either a season ticket holder or a player for the organization. The Game Room, which lies behind a “Suite 2B Electrical & IDF Rooms” sign, features bowling lanes and pool tables obviously). And finally, the Clubhouse which just recently opened - sporting the requisite private entrance, a bar featuring baseball shaped ice cubes, nostalgia, and leather seats, and an obscured viewing area behind the scoreboard in right field. Better still it stays open all game, and post-game. (Branding by Butcher Shop)

The amazing and unique plant art from Art We Heart would be a really good idea in a small hotel. Via our pal Streefy.
